Marina de Cala d'Or

Marina de Cala d'Or

Date Visited
March 2012

Approach and Entrance
They entrance is quite concealed, but once you have spotted the light house on the port side it becomes obvious.  If there is a swell of over 1m entering the cala it can become very tricky.  Once in side good shelter is provided, but keep any eye on the depth as it drops off quickly and stabilises at around 2.8m, make sure you stay to the center of the marked channel.

The best thing to do is tie up to the fuel berth and either radio them on channel 9 or walk around to the office to get your berth allocation.  All of the visitor berths are located at the very end of the cala which is very narrow and is only 2.2m in some places.  Once at the end there is little room to manoeuvre.

Marina Facilities
The marina has 2 travelifts, mechanical assistance, hull treatments as well as technical support for Volvo, Cat and Mercruiser.

Berthing Charges
We paid €50 for 1 night all inclusive which for quite a smart marina we thought was good, it was only March though.

Fuel Dock
Located at the entrance to the harbour.

There is an-abundance of restaurants and bars to choose from all of which look very inviting, unfortunatley we were only there for one night so could only sample the delights of the restaurant below!
