Palma de MallorcaPalma de Mallorca Date Visited February/March 2012 Photos Approach and Entrance Puerto de Palma is a busy harbour and the main hazards are ferries. There are no specific approach angles and entrance can be made in any wind strength. Once inside the harbour wall excellent shelter is provided from all wind directions. Marina Port de Mallorca Avinguda Gabriel Roca, 36, 07014 Palma (Mallorca), Spain T. +34 971 28 96 93 We wintered the boat paying €1600 plus e/w a month, but then struck a deal with them after we had the boat lifted for €50 a week all inclusive as this is what Real Club Nautico were offering. The normal price would have been around €150 a night, so you might want to shop around the other marinas in Palma. The ladies in the office are very helpful, especially Maggi who we dealt with. The marina is very secure with 24 hour security and lots of marineras. It is pretty central and most amenities are walking distance.Mooring numbers go from high to low from the entrance from the road. Palma is a noisy most of the time so the further away from the road you can get the more peaceful it will be! Marina Facilities Water and electricity Toilets and showers 24 hour security Parking Marineras to help with mooring Berthing Charges €50-€150 a night for a 15m sail boat Fuel Dock There are numerous fuel docks inside the harbour walls, we used both of the ones just out side Port De Mallorca, their ecact location can be found on the map above. Laundry There are local laundry services in Palma, including collection and delivery services. The marina office can point you in the right direction. Chandlery Mercanautic Passeig Maritimo, 38, 07014 Palma (Mallorca), Spain T. +34 971 28 10 11 Ask for Rosa, she is very helpful and speaks good English. You can create an account with them and they will try and give you 10% discount on most things you buy. They also have a San Miguel Tap! Yacht Center Palma Jardines de San Telmo, 5, Real Club Náutico, 07012 Palma de Mallorca It is a fair walk along the Paseo Maritimo, but they do have a very good selection of yacht bits as well as a few clothes and general water sports items. They have a much better selection of charts than Merca Nautic and it is also possible to exchange your gas bottels for full ones at around 20€ a canister. Peter is the manager and speaks very good English. As well as their shop at the entrance of Real Club Nautico on the Paseo, they have a much larger warehouse at Son Bugadelles which is at the Santa Ponca exit of the Ma-1. Fishing / Tackel / Bait Es Portixol Carrer de Bartomeu Barceló i Mir, 9, 07006 Palma, Spain T. +34 971 24 39 70 Also two other fishing shops on the same street, they are good shops, a bit expensive, but then everything on the island is expensive! Market Mercat Santa Catalina Carrer D’Annibal Excellent local market with fresh fish (except Mondays) meat, cured hams etc, worth a visit. Supermarkets Mercadona Avenida Juan Miro Pretty good supermarket, has most things and only a short walk from the Marina, also has a taxi rank nearby for a big shop. Shopping Centre Porto Pi Avinguda de Joan Miró, 174, 07015 Palma, Spain T. +34 971 40 00 87 Great shops and there is a large Carrefour supermarket in the basement. It is also where the Casino is and there are some nice bars too!
